Middlefield, the fourth largest Amish community in the world, can be found just east of Punderson State Park. Middlefield is bustling with buggies and shops catering to the tourist. Quilts, woodworking, and blacksmithing shops are just a few places to visit, as well as restaurants serving Amish-style cuisine. The Middlefield Cheese House with tours, a museum, and gift shop are worth the trip! Across the street from the Cheese House is Settlers’ Farm, a small collection of shops offering fine and unique gifts.

Cleveland is perfect for a day of family fun or a night out on the town. You can enjoy attractions such as the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, which houses over 3,000 animals and 600 species, including the largest collection of primates in North America. The zoo is also a botanical garden and is located near University Circle.

On the shore of Lake Erie is another of Cleveland’s famous attractions, The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum. The museum features seven levels of rock-and-roll history and some of the greatest rock artists such as Ray Charles, Jimi Hendrix, and The Beatles.

And don’t forget professional sports: the Browns, Guardians, and Cavaliers all call Cleveland home, providing excitement and entertainment all year round.

Other popular attractions are the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, Larchmere Blvd. Antique District, Severance Hall and much more. Cleveland is also home to an exciting nightlife with four-star restaurants and great bars.

Burton is Pancake City, USA. Each Sunday in March, thousands of people gather to enjoy pancake breakfasts with legendary Geauga County Maple Syrup. During the spring season, the log cabin located on the square demonstrates the process of making maple syrup to the public. Across the street from the log cabin is the historical Burton Century Village, offering tours of many buildings including an original schoolhouse and old-time general store.

Geneva State Park on beautiful Lake Erie offers visitors a marina and access to the lake’s abundant fishing opportunities. Enjoy hiking trails and a sandy beach.

Nelson Ledges State Park is just a short drive away in Parkman and offers a maze of cliffs and caverns to explore.

The Holden Arboretum has a 3,400-acre preserve of horticultural collections, display gardens, wildflower gardens, walking trails and ponds just 25 minutes from Punderson.
